One of the most common things I hear from so many is that they are not hitting their goals and they have tried EVERYTHING. When you say you have tried EVERYTHING I have to start thinking something besides the EVERYTHING is not working for you.
Everyone starts with a GOAL, whether you are on a health and fitness journey, education, emotional, carrier, etc. We all tend to focus too much on the goal and forget about the actions. YOU CAN’T HIT GOALS WITHOUT ACTIONS.
You don’t need to do all the things 100% every day but you need to do small things 1% better then you did the day before. Here is the thing… If you make small adjustments to small things they turn into big things (and this can be in either direction). I am going to use my journey as an example.
TAKE ACTION!
When I started out I had a goal after I had my son was to lose 50 pounds (the same 50 pounds that I gained while pregnant). I had two options: talk about my goal and stare at it and hope I get there or TAKE ACTION. I made a commitment to wake up a little earlier each day and exercise, each week I would wake up a little earlier until I was waking up to complete a full workout.
After I was able to get the waking up and working out part down, I took a deep dive into what I was fueling my body with and started making small shifts with nutrition. The KEY here is that I didn’t just focus on the goal I took action, and my actions were not extravagant or super time consuming and I WORKED MY WAY UP!
YOU also need to remember that CHANGE takes TIME. All those small actions that you are putting into place will all of a sudden come together either in a negative way or a positive way.
You either take the measures to become healthier or you continue down the same path.. Eventually, you either wake up with a chronic disease (obesity, diabetes, heart disease, etc) because of bad choices or you wake up healthier because of good choices (good cholesterol, more energy, great blood pressure, clearer mind, etc).
Today I want you to reflect on the actions that you are taking each day.. are they helping you to reach your goal or are they taking you in the wrong direction?
